A mother scolds her 10-year-old- daughter for playing instead of helping with the cooking. She says nothing to her son. Do you think this is discrimination? What leads the mother to do this?​

Stereotypes and Prejudgement  leads the Mother  to think in this way

Stereotypes for Girls is that they all are meant to do Household chores and Cooking . Another one that made her think that way was that all girls are good at cooking and doing household chores and enjoy ding it. The Daughter was a girl so according to the Stereotype she would be good at cooking and doing household chores

Prejudgement is that without even knowing that her Daughter is Good at Cooking or not she judged her to be good at it , She judged her to be good at cooking and doing household chores .

The Son was a boy , Stereotypes say that he is not meant to do Cooking and Household chores , He is not good at Cooking or other stereotypical Girl Stuff ,

The Mother Prejudged her son to not like cooking and not being good at it

Whereas He might hav  liked cooking and would have excelled at it
