• Bike runs $\dfrac{105}{2}\ km$ using 1 litre of petrol.

To Find:-

• How much distance will it cover for $\dfrac{11}{4}\ litres$ of petrol.

Solution:-

Here, Distance covered by Bike on 1 litre of petrol is $\dfrac{105}{2}\ km$.

Now, Distance traveled on $\dfrac{11}{4}\ litres$ is

⇒ $\dfrac{105}{2}\times \dfrac{11}{4}$

⇒ $\dfrac{105 \times 11}{2 \times 4}$

⇒ $\dfrac{1155}{8}$

⇒ $144\dfrac{3}{8}$

Hence, Distance covered by bike on $\dfrac{11}{4}\ litres$ of petrol is $144\dfrac{3}{8} \ km$.
