Answer:

33 km per hour .

Explanation:

Let the speed of th motorboat in still water be xkm/hr.

→Speed of the motorboat in downstream = x + 3

→Speed of the motorboat in upstream = x - 3

We know that,

Distance = Time × Speed

Distance is same.

→ 6(x - 3) = 5(x + 3)

→ 6x - 18 = 5x + 15

→  x = 33

Therefore the speed of th motorboat in still water is 33km/hr.

hope this will help uh ....

have a great day ahead mate ....

Answer:

7 times

Explanation:

Let the speed of boat=x

let speed of river=y

let total distance=s

we know soeed×time=distance

For upstream

(x-y)8=s-------(1)

For downstream

(x+y)6=s-------(2)

Dividing (1) and (2),we get

(8x - 8y) \div (6x + 6y) = 1

8x - 8y = 6x + 6y

8x - 6x = 8y + 6y

2x = 14y

x = 7y

therefore speed of boat is 7 times speed of river
