A motor boat starting from rest on a lake accelerates in a straight line at a constant rate of 3m/s2 for 8.0s. How far the boat travel during this time?

t = 8 sec
as, s = ut +(1/2) at²
        = 0 + (1/2)×3×(8)²
        = 96 m
It will cover a distance of 96 m

We have given that,
Initial Velocity=0
Acceleration= 3 m/s²
Time=8 sec
From second equation of motion
 s = ut +(1/2) at²
 By implying values,      
 = 0 + (1/2)×3×(8)²
  = 96 m
