72kmph = 20 m/s
36kmph = 10 m/s

a = (u^2 - v^2) / (2S)
= (20^2 - 10^2) / (2*25)
= 6 m/s^2

Time taken to come to rest
v = u + at
0 = 10 - 6t
t = 1.67 seconds

Distance travelled by it
S = 0.5at^2
= 0.5 × 6 × 1.67^2
= 8.36 m
