It then moves with uniform velocity and finally brought to rest in 32m under uniform retardation. The total distance covered by the car is 464m. Plot the velocity-time graph of the motor car. Find:

(ii)The retardation

retardation = (-1) m/s^2.......(ii)
8 seconds for acceleration and 8 seconds for retardation and time t for uniform velocity
t = 400/32=12.5 seconds
total time taken = 8+8+12.5=16+12.5
=28.5 seconds.......(iii)
