A motor cycle accelerates from rest for 25s at a constant acceleration of 2.0 m/s2. Calculate its velocity at the end of this time.

Answer: Answer is 50m/s

Explanation: a= 2m/s (for uniform acceleration)

and t=25

As a is constant we can apply the 1st formal equation of motion i.e v = u + at

Evaluating,

v = 0 + 25×2 ( as object starts from rest initial velocity is equals to 0)

v = 50 m/s
