A motorboat goes downstream and covers a distance in 6 hours. It covers the distance upstream in 7 hours. the speed of the stream is 2 km/h. Find the speed of the boat with all steps.

speed of boat in downstream = speed of boat + speed of stream.
speed of boat in upstream = speed of boat - speed of stream.
in both cases, distance travelled is equal.
so,
6×(boat + 2) = 7×(boat - 2)
6 boat + 12 = 7 boat - 14
- boat = - 26
speed of boat = 26 kmph.
