A motorboat goes downstream in river and covers a distance between two coastal towns in 5hours . It covers this distance upstream in 6 hours. If the speed of stream is 3 km/ph . Find the speed of boat in still water?

Answer:

when the boat goes down stream its speed =5×3 = 15 km/h and when goes up its speed =6×3 =18 km/h
