A motorboat staring from rest on lake accelarate in straight line at a constant rate of 4.0m/s square for 6.0s . How far does the boat travel during this time

the motorboat starts from the rest so
u = 0
acceleration 
a = 4m/s²
time taken
t = 6s

we know by the relation that

s = ut + 1/2at²

s = o  + 1/2 × 4 ×36

s = 18× 4
 
s = 72 m

the boat travels 72m during this time.
