Cᴏʀʀᴇᴄᴛ Qᴜᴇsᴛɪᴏɴ :-
A motorboat starting from rest on a lake accelerate in a straight line at a constant rate of 3.0m/s² for 8.0s.How far does the boat travel during this time?
Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-
- Initial velocity (u) = 0 --(At rest)
- Acceleration (a) = 3.0 m/s²
- Time Taken (t) = 8 seconds
ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-
- Distance travelled (s)
sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-
On using 1st equation of motion, we get
➦ s = ut + 1/2at²
s = 0×t + 1/2 × 3 × (8)²
s = 192/2
s = 96
Hence,.
- Distance travelled (s) = 96 m

Correct Question :-
▪ A motorboat starting from rest on a lake accelerate in a straight line at a constant rate of 3.0m/s² for 8.0s.How far does the boat travel during this time?
_______________________________
Given:-
- Initial velocity =0m/s
- Acceleration =3m/s²
- Time taken = 8s
_______________________________
To Find :-
- Distance covered by motorboat.
_______________________________
Solution :-
By using 2nd equation of motion
∴The distance covered by motorboat is 96m.

Equation of motion are :-
☛ V=u+at
☛ S=ut+1/2 at²
☛ v²=u² +2as
