A motorboat starting from rest on a lake accelerate in a straight line at a constant rate of 3.0m s-2 for 8.0s how far does the boat travel during this time?

s = ut +  \frac{1}{2} a {t}^{2}
Here u=0 as the boat initially at rest
acceleration,. a= 3 m/s²
and time t=8s
so Displacement S= 0+ 1/2 × 3 ×8² = 96 m
