GIVEN:

initial velocity (u)=0

acceleration (a)=3m/s²

time (t)=8s

TO FIND:

final velocity=?

FORMULA

v = u + at

TERMS IDENTIFICATION:

  • v=final velocity
  • u=initial velocity
  • a=acceleration
  • t=time taken

SOLUTION:

v=u+at

v=0+3×8

v=24m/s

I hope this helps

Answer:

Explanation:

initial velocity,u=0

accerlation,a +3ms^-2

time taken =8 s

using equation of motion

distance travelled by boat s=ut+1/2at^2

                                          =0*8=1/2*3*(8)^2

                                     =96m
