Answer:

Given,

a=2m/s^-2

t=6s

:. v= at

    =2.6=12 m/s

we know,

s=vt

=12.6=72m

the boat travels 72 m during this time.

{\huge{\underline{\rm{\blue{GIVEN}}}}}

  • \rm\blue{Initial\:Velocity (u) = 0m/s}

  • \rm\red{Acceleration = 2m/s^{-2}}

  • \rm\green{Time\: Given = 6s.}

{\huge{\underline{\rm{\blue{TO\: FIND}}}}}

  • The Distance travelled During this time.

{\huge{\underline{\rm{\blue{FORMULAE\: USED}}}}}

  • {\boxed{\rm{\blue{S= ut+\dfrac{1}{2}\times{a}\times{(t)^2}}}}}

Where,

S = Distance

u = initial velocity

t = Time

a = Acceleration

Now,

\implies\rm\red{S= ut+\dfrac{1}{2}\times{a}\times{(t)^2}}

\implies\rm\red{ S = 0\times{6}+\dfrac{1}{\cancel{2}}\times{\cancel{2}}\times{36}}

\implies\rm\red{ S = 0 + 36}

\implies\rm\red { S = 36m}

Thus, The distance travelled by motorboat is 36m.

  • {\huge{\boxed{\blue{v^2-u^2 = 2as}}}}
