Initial velocity = 108 km/h = 30 m/s

Final velocity = 0 m/s (rest)

Time taken = 4 s

Mass = 1800 kg

We know, F(net) = ma

⇒ F = m(∆v)/t = m(v - u)/t = - mu/t

⇒ F = (1800 kg)(- 30 m/s)/(4 s)

⇒ F = - 13500 N or - 13.5 kN

∴ Force exerted by the car is of 13.5 kN in the opposite direction of the motion of it.
