A motorcycle is moving with a speed of 8.3 m / s when it begins to brake and slow down at a constant rate. If the acceleration is 3.1 m / s2, how much further will the motorcycle travel before it comes to a complete stop?

Explanation:

u=8.3m/s

v=0

a=-3.1m/s²

here we use v²=u²+2as

0²=8.3²+2×(-3.1)s

0-68.89=(-6.2)s

-67.89/(-6.2)=s

11.111m=s

so the distance traveled before stopping of vehicle is 11.111m
