given,
initial velocity, u=10m/s
final velocity,v=0
acceleration, a= -0.5m/s²
distance,s= ?
with the following formula v²-u²= 2as
=0²-10²=2x(-0.5)x S
=> -100= -1S
=>1S =100
=>S= 100 m
hence the distance is 100 m hope it helps you..
