Answer:

a) the speed after 10s is 7m/s

b) the distance travelled in 10s is 60m

Explanation:

a) u= 5m/s

a=

0.2 \frac{m}{s}^{2}

t= 10s

Using 2nd Equation of Motion

v=u+at

v=5+(0.2)(10)

v=5+2

v=7

After 10 seconds, speed will be 7m/s

b)

Using 3rd equation of motion

S (Distance) =

 \frac{1}{2} at ^{2}

S=

(5)(10) +  \frac{1}{2} (0.2)( {10}^{2} )

S=

50 +  \frac{1}{2}  \times 20

(2 cancels out 20)

50 + 10 = 60

Hence distance travelled in 10 s is 60m
