The Solution for this is very Easy.

You have to just know, the Acceleration formula -

a = v - u / t ; where a = acceleration, v = final velocity, u = initial velocity, t = time taken

and The equations of motions, which you can find in your Physics book or the internet. Of those, I used this to find the answer -

S = (u + v) t / 2 ; where S = displacement / distance

Solution:

initial Speed = 5 m/s (u)

acceleration = 0.2 m/s^2 (a)

time taken = 10 secs (t)

final speed = ? (v) (to find)

a = v - u / t [acceleration formula]

putting values and taking v as x since unknown,

0.2 = x - 5 / 10

or, 0.2 × 10 = x - 5

or, 2 + 5 = x

or, x = 7

Answer 1 : The speed of the motorcycle after 10 seconds is 7 m/s.

Displacement = ? (S) (to find)

final velocity = 7 m/s (v)

S = (u + v) t / 2 [from equations of motion]

putting values and taking S as x since unknown,

x = (5 + 7) 10 / 2

or, x = 12 × 10 / 2

or, x = 6 × 10

or, x = 60

Answer 2 : The distance travelled in this time is 60 metres.

Hope it helps.
