a motorcyclist drive from A to B with a uniform speed of 30 km per hour and return back with a speed of 20 km per hour find the average speed

Let one way distance be s
t(1)= distance(1)/speed(1)
= S/30h
t(2)= S/ 20h
therefore total time= S/30+S/20
= 5S/60
Hence average speed= total distance /total time, => 2S/ 5S/60
=> 2S ×60/ 5S
=> 120 S/5S
=> 24 km/hr
