Average speed of the motorcyclist= (20+30)/2
= 25 km/h
Average speed= 25 km/h

(A)●------------------------------------●(B)
Suppose that the body covered the distance from A to BLet the distance between those two points be dSpeed1 = 30km/hTime 1 = distance / speed= d/30 h
Speed while returning = 20kmTime 2 = d/20 h
Average speed = total distance covered / total time taken
=( d+d) ÷ (d/20) +(d/30)= 2d ÷ (3d+2d) / 60= (12)(2)= 24So, the average speed was 24 km/h.
