A motorcyclist drives to place A to B at a uniform speed of 30 km/h and returns from B to A at a uniform speed of 20 km/h. find its average speed (please explain)

d=x...let
s=30km/hr
t=d/s
=x/30

from b-a
d=x.....distance will be same
s=20km/hr
t=x/20
avg.speed=total distance/total time
=(x+x)/((x/30)+(x/20))
=24km/hr
