Given

\:\begin{cases}\sf\red{Initial\: velocity \:(u)\: =\: 0}\\\sf\orange{Final\: velocity\:(v)\:=\:6m/s}\\\sf\blue{Time\:=\:3\: seconds}\end{cases}

To find

\bf\blue{Acceleration} of the motor cyclist.

Solution

Using 1st equation of motion,

\Large\star\:{\boxed{\sf{\purple{v\:=\:u\:+\:at}}}}

Substituting the values,

\to\:\:\sf{ 6 = 0 + a \times 3}

\to\:\:\sf{ 6 = 3a}

\to\:\:\sf{ \dfrac{6}{3} = a}

\to\:\:\sf{ 2 = a }

Hence,

  • Acceleration of the motor cyclist is \bf\pink{2m/s^2}

Additional Information

Few more equations of motion

  • \sf\red{s = ut + \dfrac{1}{2} at^2}

  • \sf\orange{v^2 = u^2 + 2as}

  • \sf\purple{s = \dfrac{1}{2}(u + v)t}

Given :-

  • Initial velocity, u = 0
  • Final velocity, v = 6 m/s
  • Time, t = 3 sec

Need To Find :-

  • Acceleration, a =?

⠀⠀⠀⠀\underline{\bigstar\:\textsf{Using 1st equation of motion  :}}\\\\

:\implies\sf v = u + at\\\\\\:\implies\sf 6 = 0 + a × 3\\\\\\:\implies\sf 3a=6\\\\\\:\implies\red{\underline{\boxed{\sf a=2\:m/s^2}}}

\therefore\:\underline{\textsf{Acceleration of the motor cyclist is \textbf{2 m/s²}}}.
