Explanation:

Average speed =(72+48)/2=60

ie average speed of entire journey is equal to 60km/hr

since speed in first 120 km is 72 and in seconde 120km is 48.

ANSWER

57.55km/hr approx

EXPLANATION

Average speed is defined as total distance upon total time

Here total distance is 240 kilometre

and total time is (120/72= 1.67approx+ 120/48= 2.5)

hence the total time is 4.17 hr

therefore average speed = 240/4.17=57.55km/hr approx
