A mound of beans is roughly in the shape of a cone of height 20cm and base radius 30cm. Use the value of 3 for π to find the approximate volume of beans.

Radius of the cone = r = 5 cm and 

 Height of the cone = h = 20 cm

Let the radius of the sphere = R

 As epr given statement,

Volume of sphere = volume of cone

4R3=5×5×20

R = 5 cm

 Diameter of the sphere =2R=2×5=10cm
