The answer is given below :
(I have considered $ as Rs)
Sales tax = 6.5 %
Then, if Rs 100 be the cost price of the mountain bike, then it be sold at
= Rs (100 + 6.5)
= Rs 106.5
So, a bike which is sold at Rs 413, having cost of purchase
= Rs (413 × 100)/106.5
= Rs 41300/106.5
= Rs 387.79
Thank you for your question.
