A mountain climber during her first day of practise was found panting and gasping for breathe and was confined to bed the next day with terrible muscle ache. Why?

As far as I think ...the answer would be the density of air being less at higher altitude due to which sufficient air is not available for breathing...the muscle ache might be because the pressure of blood inside her body would be more than the pressure of atmosphere outside her body due to low air density...the pressure of blood over he muscle might be the cause of muscle ache....I am not sure...but I think this might be the answer
