A) He found fishes alive below the ice .

A) He found fishes alive under ice because ice forms a layer on the top of water due to which it floats at the optimal temperature. Below this temperature the density of ice remains the same and it stay on the top keeping the water warm beneath it.

B) He required more time to cook things because external pressure on mountainous regions is high and as we know from the definition of boiling that when external pressure becomes equal to internal pressure of molecules, it starts to boil. Thus, it will take longer for molecules to reach external pressure

C) When water converts to ice, its volume increases. Thus, it expands and puts pressure on the walls of the tube which made it break.
