A mouse can scrawl with a velocity 2 m/s on a stationary truck of rectangular shape. The top view of the truck is shown in the fig. The truck is moving with constant speed 5 m/s along a straight road. The points P, Q, B and C are the corners of the truck and A is midpoint of PQ. Now the mouse starts moving from point A and following the cyclic path along the triangular mark shown. What is the displacement of mouse with respect to ground when it returns to point A? [Assume that the mouse moves with 2 m/s w.r.t. truck throughout the motion]

Answer: 40m Explanation:

Time taken to reach A is

t=\frac{AB+BC+CA}{n}

t=\frac{5+6+5}{2}=8 sec

displacement is 5×8= 40m

Hope it helps you
