A moving bicycle comes to rest after some time if we stop pedalling it. But newton's first law of motion says that a moving body should continue to move forever, unless some external force acts on it. How do you explain the bicycle case?

The bicycle is initially at rest, so, when we apply external force, using the pedal, it helps the bicycle to move forward. When the external force a.k.a. The force applied on the pedal is stopped, the bicycle comes to a rest. The haunting of the bicycle is also supported by the friction between the tires and the ground.
That’s it.

Newton's First Law states that an object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force.
