When the momentum of moving body is doubled, here, this means that this velocity is doubled.
Now we know that v^2=u^2+2aS. Putting final velocity = 0, we get u^2=-2aS.
So the distance is directly proportional to the square of initial velocity.
If we increase it twice , distance is its 4 times.
4 \times 20m = 80m
So answer is 80 m.

Answer:

Solution :

When the momentum of moving body is doubled,

Here, this means that this velocity is doubled.

Now we know that v^2 = u^2 + 2aS.

Putting final velocity = 0,

we get u^2 = -2aS.

So the distance is directly proportional to the square of initial velocity.

If we increase it twice, distance is it's 4 times.

4 x 20m = 80m.

The answer is 80m.
