A moving coil galvanometer A has 100 turns and resistance 10 ohm. Another galvanometer B has 50 turns and 5 ohm. The other quantities are same in both the cases, Then the voltage sensitivity of
(1) A is great than that of B
(2) B is greater than that of A
(3) A and B are same
(4) Cannot be compared

Answer:
Number of turns in coil A NA=100
Resistance of coil A RA=10Ω
Number of turns in coil B NB=50
Resistance of coil B RB=5Ω
Voltage sensitivity of moving coil galvanometer Vs=KRNBA
∴ Vs∝RN (keeping all other quantities to be same)
For coil A : RANA=10100=10
For coil B : RBNB=550=10
⟹ VsA=VsB
