A moving coil galvanometer allows a full scale current of 10⁻⁴ A. A series resistance of 2 MΩ is required to convert the above galvanometer into a voltmeter of range 0 – 5 V. Therefore the value of shunt resistance required to convert the above galvanometer into a ammeter of range 0–10 mA is:
(A) 200 Ω (B) 100 Ω
(C) 10 Ω (D) 500 Ω

The value of resistance of galvanometer is coming is negative which is not possible so none of the options are correct.

Given

1. fullscale current =10⁻⁴A

2. Maximum voltage of voltmeter=5V

3. series resistance=2MΩ

Let the resistance of galvanometer= G

2*10⁶*10⁻⁴+10⁻⁴G=5

200+10⁻⁴G=5

Therefore G=-195*10⁴

therefore we get the value of G =negative

which is not possible so we can take this question as a bonus one
