RETARDATION = 2 m/s^2

THEREFORE :

RETARDATION =
- (ACCELERATION)

2 = - (ACCELERATION)

ACCELERATION = - 2 m/s^2

ACCELERATION = v - u/t

- 2 = 0 - u/20

- 2 × 20 = -u

- u = - 40

u = 40 m/s

THEREFORE, INITIAL VELOCITY (u) = 40 m/s
