TO DETERMINE
Calculate his profit percentage
EVALUATION
Here it is given that the merchant mixes 24 kg of rice at Rs 16 per kg and 27 kg of rice of a different variety at Rs. 32 per kg
Cost price
= Rs ( 24 × 16 ) + Rs ( 27 × 32 )
= Rs 384 +864
= Rs 1248
Total mixture
= 24 + 27 kg
= 51 kg
Selling price
= Rs 51 × 25
= Rs 1275
Profit
= Rs 1275 - 1248
= Rs 27
Hence the required profit percentage
= 2.16%
