given,

1 floor =5m

25 floor =125 m

basement 3 floor =75m

lift travel at speed of 1m/s

1 mins=60 metres

now lift have to move from 50 metres above and 2 floor in basement =50+(2×5)

=60 m

60 m is the totall lenght that lift should travel

it travel at speed of 1m per s

so,

60× 1

=60 sec= 1 minute

in 1 minute lift can cover whole distance

Answer:

Each floor has the height of 5m and basement of 3 floors.

If a man starts from 50m above ground and reached at 2nd floor of basement.

Distance travelled above basement =50 m

And below basement =2×5=10 m

Total distance travelled= (50+10) m=60m

Rate of moving of a lift =1m/s

that is in 1 second it moves 1 metre.

So, time taken to reach 60 metres =60×1=60 s

Hence, a man reaches at 2nd floor of basement in 60 seconds.
