Your Answer:

Given:-

  • Total floors = 25 + 3 = 28 floors
  • Each floor of height = 5m
  • Speed of lift = 1m/s
  • A man starts from 50m above the ground.

To find:-

  • How long will it take him to reach the 2nd floor of basement

Solution:-

Distance Between Ground floor and 2nd floor of basement is = \tt 5 \times 2=10m

So,

The total distance between 2nd floor of basement and 50 m above the ground =50+10=60 m.

So,

\tt Time =\dfrac{Distance}{Speed} \\\\ \tt \Rightarrow Time=\dfrac{60m}{1m/s} \\\\ \tt \Rightarrow Time=60sec

So, Time is 60 seconds.
