Answer:

percent of discount on all products=25%

customer who purchased the cd after the discount=240₹

so usual price of the cd =?

cross multiplication

75% ----> 240

100%----> X

75(X) = 240(100)

75x = 24000

X = 24000/75

X = 320

hence actual price of the cd is 320

Given:

selling price =Rs.240,

discount = 25% of the marked price

We know that,

marked price = selling price + discount

So the selling price= 100-25

= 75%

selling price = \frac{75}{100}\times market price

so market price = \frac{100}{75}\times selling price

=\frac{100}{750} \times 240

=320

The CD usually costs Rs320

and the cash discount is: (320-240) = Rs80

Hence the usual price is Rs.320 and cash discount is Rs.80
