A Chronic Exposure is a repeated or prolonged exposure over a long period of time (months or years) that may bring about slowly developing symptoms. These exposures do not cause immediate, obvious harm and a person may not see, feel, or smell the danger. The effects may be permanent e.g developing cancer from a long-term exposure to asbestos or lead.
The Chronic exposure is opposite to the Acute exposure.
