A nail is inserted in the trunk of a tree at a height of 1m from the ground level.Afyer 3years where will the nail be present and why?​

The nail will be found at a height of more than 1 meter.

As the nail is permanently fixed there and the tree grows continously the nail also goes up with the tree.

it will remain at the same position because the plant grows in length by apical meristems. Apical meristem is present on tip of root and shoot. A nail is inserted in trunk i.e., permanent tissue which does not divide
