A nail is inserted in the trunk of tree at a height of 1 m from the ground level after 3 years what is change in the tree?​

the nail will remain on its place but it will get little bit more inside the tree

Explanation:

Because the tree always grows form the top but therefore no change in nail's height but with time the trunk of the tree gets wider therefore it makes the nail get inside deeper

the height of the tree is increased by apical meristem and thickness increases by lateral meristem
