The stretched rubber string of a catapult posses " Elastic Potential Energy"
Reason:
when we do work in stretching string of catapult, then work done by us is stored in the rubber string in the form of elastic potential energy as there is change in shape.
b)When stone is released from the Catapult, elastic potential energy is changed into Kinetic energy.
So energy transformation :
 Elastic potential energy -----> Kinetic energy
