Explanation:

Explanation:A. Sexual reproduction increases the chances of formation of new variants. Two individuals are always involved in sexual reproduction where gametes are formed. These gametes are usually formed by meiosis where the genetic material of the cell forming the gamete is halved therefore the gamete that is formed is haploid compared to the diploid individual. When the haploid gametes are fused at the time of fertilization the zygote formed is diploid. Both the haploid gametes come from different parents, therefore, have different genetic makeup so the zygote formed will have characters from both the parents. So the chances of new characters being formed are more. due to recombination and linkage in the chromosomes at the time of meiosis.

B. A mutation is a change that occurs in our DNA sequence, either due to mistakes when the DNA is copied or as the result of environmental factors such as UV light and cigarette smoke

C. . (i) The plants that cannot produce viable seeds such as banana, seedless grapes and oranges, etc, can be easily grown by vegetative propagation.

(ii) It is an easier, less expensive and a rapid method of propagation.
