1. Aerobic and Anaerobic Respiration in plants
2.Aerobic respiration takes place in the mitochondria and requires oxygen and glucose, and produces carbon dioxide, water, and energy. While Anaerobic Respiration do not requirs oxgen.
Aerobic respiration requires oxygen in order to generate energy molecule ATP, where as an anaerobic respiration synthesize ATP by using the electron transport chain, with inorganic molecules other than oxygen.

Q.Name two different ways in which glucose is oxidised to provide energy in various organisms

Answer:-

The two different ways in which glucose is oxidised to provide energy in various organisms are as follows:-

First set The breakdown of glucose take place in the cytoplasm of cell of all organisms .This process yields a three carbon molecules compound called pyruvate for The breakdown of pyruvate take place in different manner in different organisms.

✯ Anaerobic respiration which take place in absence of oxygen e.g.in yeast during fermentation in the case pyruvate is converted into Enthol and carbon dioxide.

✯ Aerobic respiration in which breakdown of pyruvate explain in presence of oxygen to give rise to three molecules of carbon dioxide and water.

Q.Write any two differences between the two ways of oxidation of glucose in organisms

Answer:-

The two differences between the two ways of oxidation of glucose in organisms are as follows :-

☆☆☆Anaerobic☆☆☆

✯ When oxidation of nutrients occur without the utilisation of molecular oxygen it is called an anaerobic respiration.

✯ less amount of energy is produced as oxidation is not complete.

☆☆☆Aerobic☆☆☆

✯ When oxidation of food nutrients occur in the presence of molecular oxygen it is called aerobic respiration

✯ more energy is produced as oxidation is complete.
