A narrative composition on : The day when everything you wished for came true

I never fathomed a day would come, which I could possibly mention it as a Golden Day of my life. Beginning from the morning to the night, not a single incident passed by that did not go in my favour. I got the bathroom to myself all neat and clean in my hostel when I woke up late with yesterday's fever. And suddenly I could not feel very fresh. The sore throat was gone, I wasn't coughing, and the fever was also gone . What a wonderful day to start with I thought to myself, and saying that I got ready to school.

In the school the Principal spoke to me in a very concerned manner, which was my first time, I must confess, as I always remain in her hit list. I was totally thrilled and also shocked. All the classes went regularly normal. When I came back after the school and there was my big surprise waiting for me.

I must mention that although I am very naughty, but I am not a very demanding child. My only demand is for new story books, and I read voraciously in my spare time. I am a more than average reader than most of the children of my age. And there was my surprise on my bed. The Harry Potter Series! I was so ecstatic that my joy new no bounds. I was waiting for God knows how many decades, I must say, to get a second hand book of the part one for myself. And before watching, I wanted to read the book. I never wanted to spoil the gusto and charm of the book, the pleasure of reading by watching the movie. Imagine I stopped myself from watching the movie, and one could imagine my joy on seeing the entire series lying on my bed, tagged with a note : Love,Mom & Dad. I couldn't tell you, how thankful I was. O God it was a day, when all my wishes came true. Incredible!

31st of August was an unforgettable day in my life. It was a day when all that I wished for came true. To begin with, I was not in a mood to go to school after the heavy rains yesterday. As I dragged myself to the bathroom to get ready, we got a call from school saying that it would be closed for two days because more heavy showers were expected.

I was so happy that I immediately put down the school bag and started reading the newspaper. I found an ad for a quiz competition that interested me. It was to be held in the evening at 6 pm near our home. When I called my friend, he said that he was interested in being my partner if I was joining. When I asked my parents’ permission, they said that I could join if I studied in the morning.

In the afternoon, I browsed through a few General Knowledge books. I wished that there was some program on TV that would give me an idea of how to answer. As soon as I turned it on, I immediately saw a quiz show hosted by the legendary quiz master Mr Rahul. Along with my friend, I reached the venue at 5.30 pm. There were about 10 teams and only four teams, including ours, made it to the finals. We were in the second place by just two marks. Then, suddenly we found the last question intended for us very easy and we made a grand victory by 15 points.

When I got home, my parents congratulated me for my participation. To celebrate the happy occasion, we went to my favorite restaurant for dinner and I enjoyed my favorite meal.
