A navodaya vidyalaya has rectangular playground having length 1000m with width 500m.find the following ratio:-
1. Length of playground to its width
2. Width of playground to its length
3. Length of playground to its perimeter
4.width of playground to its perimeter

1) the ratio of length to it's width is 2:1
2) the ratio of width to it's length is 1:2
3) the ratio of length to it's perimeter is 1:3
4) the ratio of width to it's perimeter is 1:6

animeshmusale: we know length is 1000 and breadth or width is 500 so perimeter becomes 2(l+b) = 3000 and then we take ratios like l/b b/l l/p etc

animeshmusale: so for perimeter we have formula that 2(l +b) = perimeter......i.e 2(1000+ 500)= 3000........so ratio of length to perimeter is 1000/ 3000 i. e 1:3.....and of breadth to perimeter is 500/3000...i.e 1: 6
