A negatively charged rod is moved near a conducting sphere. What will be the movement of the protons in the conducting sphere?

The movement of protons in the conductive sphere will be to to the road side.

The portion of conducting sphere near the positively charged rod will be in excess of electrons. Electron will move from away sides to near side of rod in the conductor. ... Therefore, there will be positively charge on that surface( can be said protons but not exactly).
