Answer

Both the lights blink 17.14 times in the given period of half an hour.

Given

A light blinks after every 3 seconds, another light blinks after every 5 seconds.

Find out

We have to find how many times they blink together in half an hour.

Solution

According to the given details

We take the LCM of 3 and 5,7

i.e, LCM(3,5,7) = 105

1 hour  =  60 minutes  =  3600 seconds

1/2 hr  =  3600/2sec

= 1800sec

Number of times they blink together

Times in 30 mins= 1800/105 = 17.14

Hence, both the lights blink 17.14 times in the given period of half an hour.
