A neutron of mass 1.67×10^-27 ms^-1 collides with a deutron of mass 3.34×10^-27 kg which is at rest . After collision the neutron sticks to the deutron and forms a triton . What is the speed of the triton?

Answer:

the initial momemtu = final momentum

Explanation:

let mass of neutron be M

and mass of combined neutron and deuteron after collision be m

so, Mv1=mv2

1.6*10^-27v1=3.34*10^-27v2

V1=3v2

V2=V1/3

the speed of triton is 3rd division of the speed of neutron
