A new species of plants is introduced to a habitat. What kind of a negative impact can this new species have on the biodiversity of the region?

those plants may not grow properly due to some specific problems like soil fertility,climatic conditions,etc 
(or)
that plant will  fight other plants for nutrients,sunlight, water, space, etc.slowly
no. of plants in that garden decreases.

it will also create overcrowding and create competition among each other for space sunlight and water
